I didn’t know what I was getting into when I had my girls. I certainly wasn’t ready for the bags of frilly clothes and multiple tea sets. I wasn’t prepared for anything that being a mother entails, and this blog is my way of sharing what I’ve learned with other new mamas. I write about things that work for me, things that don’t, and mostly about my journey into motherhood as I embrace a life of enchanted tea parties and make believe. And yes, even the colour pink.
Our Family
My name is Tamara. I’m kind of crunchy and I like to be crafty. I’m passionate about both breastfeeding and babywearing – in fact, I have a small babywearing boutique here in Hamilton which allows me to indulge in my baby carrier obsession. I’d like to be a domestic diva, but honestly, I’m just happy if the dishes make it to the dishwasher.
My oldest daughter (The Princess) is five. She loves princesses and fairies and anything that glitters. My younger daughter (The Pixie) is two, and while she also enjoys glittery things, she mostly tries to eat them. I have a wonderful husband too, but he prefers coffee so he doesn’t get to be on my blog. Hey, read the title. We’re doing tea here. :)
We’re trying to live a simple life and enjoy every minute. I’d love if you could join me. You can be notified about my posts by joining my Facebook page or subscribing via email. And feel free to drop me a comment when you stop by – I love hearing about the experiences of other mamas trying to figure this who motherhood thing out too.
